Scout

A single-operator OSINT agent: public data in, a confidence-scored report out.

Why

Research on a target is scattered across dozens of public sources. Scout collects them in one pass, links the identifiers that belong to the same entity and says how sure it is.

What came out

Give it a domain, a company, a username, an email, a phone number or a topic. Collectors run side by side, the findings become an entity graph, an LLM writes a structured report, and everything lands in an encrypted local database with a small dashboard on top. It can re-scan on a schedule and flag what changed.

Every link carries a confidence level: evidence, never a verdict.

What broke

  • It can’t be sold. One of its key datasets, OpenSanctions, is non-commercial only, so Scout stays open source and free.
  • Heavier on-chain forensics, a cross-scan entity graph and report export didn’t make v1.
  • Only the Anthropic LLM backend is implemented; the others are documented extension points.
